I painted these during a special edition of Sky Arts portrait artists of the year. Due to Covid, they could not do their usual yearly program, so they decided to open up the programme to the world for a series of Facebook portrait challenges. They ended up doing two challenges as the pandemic went on much longer than anyone anticipated. I only took part in the first one as it was evident by the end, portrait painting is not where my talents lay.
