More Zentangles. I thought I would try some colour this week. Have a new blog post up about my first successful forage into digital painting. jacquiboyd-alden.com/blog #zentangles

Last Christmas my son bought me a #GaomonM106k pen tablet. I downloaded #krita and played with for a while. However, I had no idea how to use the program and everything I saw was geared towards cartoon like images, anime etc.. So I put it away. During my current meh phase, I was determined to keep creating until I got my mojo back. I decided to get the tablet off the shelf and found several YouTube videos that were helpful with Krita. I decided to follow the 18 videos by AgeofAsparagus where he shows you the process of making a 'painting' by using a Bob Ross lesson to create Mystic Mountain. I am still zentangling but I am also working my way through a series of YouTube videos on how to use #krita a digital drawing program. The instructor is using Bob Ross paintings as way of using digital brushes and all the other essential functions. I will write a blog post on it once I have finished. As well as losing myself in Zentangles while mulling over my latest meh period, I have been using my #westaleestitchingdiscs to draw out possible template designs. It's a process I am have done too frequently over the years. I was listening to a podcast where mentoring was mentioned and having an artistic circle around you. They made have a point. Meanwhile, I will get there #westaleetemplates #westaleerulers #drawing #drawingisimportant

So while I get through this meh period, I have been trying my hand at Zentangles as well as sorting my photos. I found a channel on YouTube where the presenter has 200 plus videos. I will get bored before I get to the end but it's a way of not becoming too depressed while I figure out where I go next. I am using a bullet journal where I will also be ruminating with my thoughts. #zentangles #doodles #ruminations
