I am going on hiatus for a while as | sort out the mammoth task of cataloging all my photos. I have so many copies they are taking up all the space on my Pc and Google Photos! I am also feeling a little blah with life at the moment which sucks all the life out of my creative brain. This a practise piece I made in Krita when I am not going through the photos and videos.That is one of my goals at the moment, mastering digital drawing /painting If David Hockney can do it in his 80s I should manage to do something with it, even if its never going to be a masterpiece! #Krita #digitalpainting #hiatus

My sewing machine is going in for its annual maintenance and I don't want to start anything new. So I downloaded Ibis Paint X so I can practice my digital drawing skills which are pretty non-existent 🤣😂. I have Krita as well but it's a little advanced for me at the moment. My 10 yrs granddaughter loves using this app so I thought why not give it a try and she can give me some advice! I actually finished this a few days back but I have been in a bit of a downer for the last few days. The heat we are suffering at the moment is just dragging me down 110, 109 yesterday and today. We are going to cool down a bit by the weekend, only 101f 😂🤣🔥🥵 and then it will built back up for the start of next week. Terrible thing but it would be good to have tropical depression come along. #finishedquilt #tshirtquilt

Finally putting on the binding, not my favourite thing to do. However I have finally mastered the method to do a mitred join for the binding strips. I decided I was going to a machine stitch the binding. I thought I knew how to do it. Turned out I only knew half the method but a quick check ✔️ on YouTube put me in the right direction. Once I knew what I was doing (after a lot of swearing and frustration) I decided to use one of the many decorative stitches I have on my sewing machine. #quilt #quiltbinding #decorativemachinestitches #tshirtquilt #jukidx7

So close to finishing the quilting but the bobbin thread needed to be replaced. I could have carried on as DH is watching the football ⚽ (soccer) Colorado V Austin FC but it's late. 6th block done! Couldn't resist attempting to make my own yellow brick road. Use 2 circle templates for bubbles on the beer can t shirt. Hopefully I will be more on track this week as the longer I take, the longer it will be before I can explore other ideas.
